Ebony Mack, MSW has over 20 years of experience. She has provided various kinds of clinical support to those whom she has served, including psychoeducational, trauma-informed, and family systems based counseling. She is a skilled Speaker, Consultant, and Clinician who has worked with several agencies across the United States. Ebony is one of the expert voices highlighted in the USA Today report citing the issues in the US foster care adoption system. She is one of the Advisors for the PBS Kids show “Work It Out Wombats!” She also co-authored a comprehensive resource for transracial adoption with the National Council for Adoption.

Ebony uses her expertise with the aim to educate on nuanced subjects related to race, gender, trauma, parenting, and of course, adoption. This includes the intersectionalities across these topics. She has developed coursework to suit the needs of clients: individuals, families, small and large agencies have all benefited from her educational tools. Whether a one-time class or as an educational series she can produce the the curriculum that best serves the need.

Ebony believes trauma and resilience exist in relationship with each other. Further, she believes that everyone’s unique experiences with trauma and resilience can serve as helpful tools to unlock their potential to grow and heal. Understanding how these factors interact can lead to individual, family, institutional, and systemic healing. Ebony takes pride in her work sharing her expertise on this with the aim to enlighten, inspire, and empower.
